Weekend Report | June 17 - June 18
This past weekend was quite bitter sweet for me, as I celebrated my last days with Saje Natural Wellness. I had such an incredible experience working for the Canadian company! Not only did I meet such amazing people (that have become some of my bestest friends!) but I also learned so much about the importance of mental health, wellness and cruelty-free living.
Our team meeting was a success as we popped champagne and ate vegan burgers from Burlington's infamous vegan cafe, Boon Burger.
My manager Mayson popped the champagne to commemorate the company's milestones, and all of the new things happening with Saje and Downtown Oakville. Even though I wont be a physical part of the team, I will still celebrate Saje's 25 year anniversary (side note - all great things are from 1992) ;) !
I was so sad to say goodbye to my wellness buddy, Sam, who shares an identical enneagram type as myself - 4W3. The Enneagram system has changed my life in so many ways - but has mainly helped me understand who I am as a person and what makes me me.
Father's Day was on Sunday, and I was lucky enough to have lunch with my boyfriend's father, and meet up with my own (including my mom and brother!) for dinner at The Works. I love that place- mainly because they have vegetarian and vegan options.. and a burger called the Trudeau.
Lake Ontario is still incredibly high due to the excessive rainfall in the past couple of months, but that didn't stop us from skipping rocks (or in my case, attempting to skip rocks) throughout the evening before my parents headed back home.
For my last working weekend until the fall, it definitely was better than I could imagine. I am very excited to have a bit of a break - I feel like I haven't had a 'summer' in years, as I have always filled every day with either work or my internship.
What are your plans for the Summer?
